AutoCAD Map Training Materials

This textbook covers additional mapping and GIS functions discussed in our AutoCAD Map course.  Learn about working with base maps, object queries, working with and linking to external databases, analyzing data with topologies, making thematic maps, and other mapping utilities.

AutoCAD Update Training Materials

The AutoCAD 2007 Update textbook lists new functions and improved functions from Releases 2004 of AutoCAD.  Learn about the new AutoCAD environment, object snaps, layer manager, object property manager, text and block attribute routines, 3D Visualization functions, multiple layout environment, viewports, plotting, and internet functionality.

CAD Management Training Materials

The CAD Management textbook discusses the development of CAD Standards to improve efficiency of CAD drafting and to automate redundant drafting tasks.  Major topics include: the development of CAD Standards (including pen settings, layers, symbol libraries, text and dimension styles), CAD System Configuration and Management (plotting, system options), tools to implement CAD Standards, and a tutorial on the AutoLISP programming language.

Raster Design Training Materials

This textbook demonstrates Raster Design's ability to work with raster images inside AutoCAD.  Learn how to insert and edit raster images, as well as convert raster images into AutoCAD drawings.

Softdesk 8 Civil Training Materials

This set of training materials is used for our Softdesk 8 Civil/Survey, Site, and Road Design courses.  Each module of Softdesk 8 Civil/Survey is discussed, with lists of commands in quick reference cards, and proper procedures for completing civil engineering design work inside of AutoCAD.

Land Desktop Training Materials

This introductory textbook to AutoCAD's Land Development Desktop covers tools for project management, subdivision design and annotating, and surface model creation.  Updated methods of drawing and project management, survey data presentation, and the use of the terrain model explorer are discussed.  The Survey Plug-In for the Land Development Desktop is also covered in this textbook.

Land Desktop Civil Design Training Materials

The civil design plug-in to AutoCAD's Land Development Desktop software is discussed in this textbook.  Topics include grading proposed surfaces, road design, hydrology, and hydraulic design of storm drains.  Updated methods on using the Terrain Model Explorer with civil design work are presented.

AutoCAD Architecture Training Materials

This textbook covers the architectural design features of AutoCAD's Architectural Desktop.  Learn about project and drawing management, as well as object-oriented design.  Also listed are procedures for designing walls, doors, windows, ceiling grids, spaces, and mass-elements.

AutoCAD MEP: Electrical Essentials (Imperial & Metric) AOTC

This courseware provides comprehensive AutoCAD® MEP training on how to design, model, and make construction documents of electrical distribution systems used in commercial buildings. The hands-on exercises cover how to design and draw electrical lighting and power systems and how to turn them into quality construction documents using AutoCAD MEP 2008. The course addresses both imperial and metric systems.  Includes a 30-day trial CD.

AutoCAD MEP: Mechanical Essentials (Imperial & Metric) AOTC

This courseware is designed for the AutoCAD® MEP 2008 user who wants to learn how to implement a mechanical HVAC system using AutoCAD MEP 2008. This courseware uses hands-on exercises to teach students how to determine energy requirements, add HVAC equipment, ductwork, and fittings, and create construction documents using AutoCAD MEP 2008. The course addresses both imperial and metric systems.  Includes a 30-day trial CD.

AutoCAD MEP: Plumbing Essentials (Imperial & Metric) AOTC

This courseware is designed for the new AutoCAD® MEP user who requires comprehensive training in the Plumbing module. It incorporates the features, tools, and techniques for creating and editing plumbing designs with AutoCAD MEP 2008. Hands-on exercises teach how to create 3D production drawings while designing in 2D. The course addresses both imperial and metric systems.

AutoCAD MEP: Piping Essentials (Imperial) AOTC

This courseware provides comprehensive AutoCAD® MEP 2008 training on how to design, model, and make construction documents for a piping system used in commercial, institutional, and waste water environments. The hands-on exercises teach how to lay out systems from schematic design through to the design development and project construction documentation phases.  Includes a 30-day trial CD.
