  Building Design Training
Building Design Training topics are applicable to Architectural Desktop and Building Systems.CAD Masters also offers 2 months of technical support services following your training, provided by our Engineers and Architects.
AutoCAD Architecture
This 2-day course is recommended for all architects and building design professionals. At its most fundamental level, AutoCAD Architecture allows two separate approaches to project design; Conceptual Design (using simple architectural shapes to form an exterior model of your building project), and Design Development (jumping right into the project with walls, doors and windows).
AutoCAD MEP
This 2-day course is recommended for all building design professionals. Building Systems is the AutoCAD software-based building design and construction application for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) professionals.
Revit Architecture
This 3-day course is recommended for all architects and building design professionals with no formal AutoCAD training or anyone who is interested in BIM or parametric building modeling.
NavisWorks Fundamentals
This class is recommended for all design professionals working on BIM projects or using 3D design software including Civil 3D, Revit, AutoCAD Architecture, Microstation, etc. Course emphasizes the tools required to combine models from a variety of programs and review those for consistency with the intended design.

AutoCAD Architecture
2-Day training: $750 offered from 9am to 5pm
This course is recommended for all architects and building design professionals. At its most fundamental level, AutoCAD Architecture allows two separate approaches to project design; Conceptual Design (using simple architectural shapes to form an exterior model of your building project), and Design Development (jumping right into the project with walls, doors and windows). These approaches can be used together as complementary design methods, or they can be used separately. This course will focus on Design Development features.

Applicable to: Architectural Desktop and Building Systems

Topics include: All primary features of Design Development through Construction Documentation. ADT’s ObjectARX entities allow for quick placement and modification of standard building elements. Users will assemble a building model complete with walls, floor, doors, windows, openings, stairs, railings, roofs, and column and ceiling grids. Topics will progress towards Construction Documentation features, including annotation, tags, scheduling, and symbol management. Students will learn to quickly generate floor plans, sections, elevations, and perspectives of the 3D building.

Prerequisites: AutoCAD Level I and II or instructor’s consent.

AutoCAD MEP (formerly Building Systems)
2-Day training: $750 offered from 9am to 5pm
This course is recommended for all building design professionals. Building Systems is the AutoCAD software-based building design and construction application for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) professionals. Designers and drafters can use this software to improve productivity, accuracy, and coordination.

Applicable to:
Building Systems

Topics include: All primary features of Design Development through Construction Documentation. Autodesk Building System’s ObjectARX entities allow for quick placement and modification of 3 dimensional building elements such as ducting, piping, and electrical entities. Users will assemble a mechanical plan, complete with heating/cooling ducts, plumbing fixtures/piping, and the electrical system layout. Topics will progress towards Construction Documentation features, including annotation, tags, scheduling, and symbol management.

Prerequisite: AutoCAD Level I and II or instructor’s consent.

Revit Architecture
3-Day training: $1125 offered from 9am to 5pm
This course is recommended for all architects and building design professionals with no formal AutoCAD training or anyone who is interested in BIM or parametric building modeling.

Topics include: All primary features of Design Development through Construction Documentation. Users will assemble a building model complete with walls, floor, doors, windows, openings, stairs, railings, roofs, and column and ceiling grids. Topics will progress towards Construction Documentation features, including annotation, tags, scheduling, symbol management and general modeling/information bi-directional relationships. Students will learn to quickly generate floor plans, sections, elevations, and perspectives of the 3D building.

Prerequisite: Some architectural or building design experience and basic knowledge of computers in a windows environment. No formal CAD training is needed.

NavisWorks Fundamentals
1-Day training: $375 offered from 9am to 5pm

This class is recommended for all design professionals working on BIM projects or using 3D design software including Civil 3D, Revit, AutoCAD Architecture, Microstation, etc. Course emphasizes the tools required to combine models from a variety of programs and review those for consistency with the intended design.

Topics include: Navisworks Review: The NavisWorks interface, working with NavisWorks file types, model navigation tools, model insertion tools, managing coordinate systems, model sectioning, object selection tools, object modification tools, and object measurement tools. Review, query, and red-line your models as your designs progress. Navisworks Simulate - TimeLiner: 4D Construction Simulations. Learn to link model geometry to times and dates for playback of construction and demolition sequences to verify viability of construction plan. Navisworks Manage - Clash Detective: Learn to use the conflict indentification tools to find and resolve design problems earlier in the design process.
